Pastor Peter Tate

Chaplaincy New Zealand Director

I have pastored three churches within the Assemblies of God movement and am an ex-Executive member of AGNZ. I have a real passion to see Chaplaincy take its place as a force for good in our communities, and for Chaplaincy NZ to provide excellent ongoing support and resources for our hard working chaplains wherever they may be working.

I am the administrator for Chaplaincy New Zealand and consider it my pleasure and privilege to support chaplains in their various roles in Aotearoa. I completed the Diploma in Christian studies in Chaplaincy in 2012 and was the spiritual care coordinator at the Otago Community Hospice for many years before relocating to Raglan early in 2021 to be closer to family.
